Elders

I’m not sure when it happened but over the last 10 years or so, I’ve noticed that the older generations seem (at least as far as I can see) to be working to ensure that the younger generation have it harder.

I don’t understand this logic. Isn’t the point of children to provide a better life than the generation previous? Why push agendas and narratives that demean an “easier” life? If things are easier on the youngsters, isn’t that a good thing? Isn’t that a “mission: accomplished?”
