Experiment: Composting in Cardboard

So I had a shitload of leaves that I initially wanted my yard guy to mow over but instead got blown to a corner of the yard. I figured it’d be nice to compost them since they’re wonderful plant fuel. I set aside a small area behind some trees in our yard and here is the result.

I packed leaves in all the boxes first and then mixed in the greens that were dying off from our garden.

Maybe around spring time I can offer compost fertilizer for our neighbors. Funny how so much of this gets bagged up and taken away.
