The Importance of One
everyone is important to someone else
they may not be important to you, but they are all important to the community.
some exist to simply keep others going. we may not understand their value personally, but it must be observed that each individual carries meaning and value to one of us in the community.
everyone is important to someone else.
delegation among a community is the offloading of tasks to community specialists that then allow us to specialize.
when you centralize these roles to corporations, the value of the community specialist is diminished by attributing the skill to a brand rather than individual. it also further divorces the skilled community member from their community. no longer acting within a locality, we as community members lose the communal bond and isolate ourselves from each other.
some of us provide the infrastructure, some provide the comfort, some the aggitation, relief, inspiration, food, water, and everything else a community provides for itself. no one should ever forget that it is not the corporation that provides any of these directly. they are a facade hiding the community members that in some form or another have to perform the work accomlishing whatever task.
